Starting July 1, the ticket price to access the Pantheon in Rome will increase from €5 to €7, while remaining free for residents of the capital. The lower €2 ticket price for young people aged 18 to 25 will stay intact. The Pantheon is one of Italy's most recognizable and visited monuments, with an estimated 4.5 million visits in 2025. The €2 increase per ticket will benefit libraries in disadvantaged and inland locations. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Culture, these new resources "will assist in the support of initiatives that are designed to enhance libraries and widespread cultural institutions, promote cultural and artistic production, and incentivize social regeneration projects in marginalized areas".
