Andrea Malventi and Carlo Michelini established Cmed Aesthetics in Pisa in 2017 with the goal of reviving the aesthetic medicine and dermatology sectors. In less than ten years, the company has generated €20 million revenue and is investing the same amount to boost production and strengthen its research and development department. Cmed Aesthetics was formed to produce cosmetics and vials exclusively for healthcare professionals, but it is now preparing to take another significant step: joining the injectable medical device industry. Its international presence has been one of the company's distinctive traits since its inception, with the majority of its revenue coming from overseas markets. It has also established a US branch in Miami, BioSkin Aesthetics: the United States accounts for around half of the global market. Research and development is one of the group's primary growth drivers, accounting for 40% of total revenue by 2025.
