Margherita pizza is the most popular Italian meal outside of Italy, followed by tiramisu and spritz. Italian restaurants are one of the most strong and extensive forms of Italian presence over the globe. Fipe-Confcommercio's "The Italian Table Abroad" survey analyzed 1,486 Italian restaurants in 10 major European cities, including Paris, London, Barcelona, Vienna, Amsterdam, Brussels, Munich, Lyon, Berlin, and Marseille. The overall estimated Italian presence in these cities is 8,960 establishments, of which the research has thoroughly investigated a highly representative sample.
