Everything is set for the 53rd edition of Umbria Jazz, the most prominent Italian jazz festival and one of the most important and known in the world. From July 3 to 12, 2026, the historic center of Perugia will transform into a vast global music village with 275 events in total—more than half of which are free—more than 80 bands, over 500 musicians, and 15 stages, as well as the Berklee College of Music Clinics in Boston, with over 200 participants and 13 instructors. For more than a week, music will be played at all hours in every corner of the city, from the Arena Santa Giuliana, the main stage for the big evenings, to the Teatro Morlacchi, the Sala Podiani of the Galleria Nazionale dell'Umbria, Piazza IV Novembre, the Carducci Gardens, and the Covered Market Terrace. The 2026 edition honors two jazz legends, Miles Davis and John Coltrane, on their centenary birthdays. The official poster, "La Danza degli Zanni", is by Dario Fo and pays respect to the great artist on his centennial. Performers include Sting, Zucchero, Jon Batiste, Elvis Costello, Laurie Anderson, Snarky Puppy, Gilberto Gil, Charles Lloyd, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Stefano Bollani, and Paolo Fresu.
