Playing beach tennis might lead to legal problems. The Court of Cassation ruled, affirming a father and daughter's conviction for serious bodily harm caused by negligence when they accidently struck a swimmer in Puglia in 2015, resulting in serious physical injuries. In other trials, the two had already been sentenced to a fine and provisional compensation of €10,000. The defense challenged the severity of the injuries and the link between the accident and permanent damage, but the Court of Cassation dismissed the appeal. The victim's surgical intervention was decisive, serving as concrete evidence of the severity of the event.
