Lorenzo Musetti will be unable to attend Roland Garros due to a rectus femoris injury. After losing in the round of 16 of the Italian Open against Casper Ruud at the Foro Italico, the Tuscan's health sparked concerns, which were validated by medical examinations undertaken in the hours that followed. Musetti announced his withdrawal in an Instagram post. The Italian number one stated that the injury will require several weeks of rest and recovery, prohibiting him from competing in both the Hamburg tournament and the Paris Grand Slam. In his message, Musetti also expressed gratitude to the Roman audience for their support during the Open: "It was the reason why, even though I wasn’t 100%, I wanted to take the court and give everything in my home tournament". The tennis player finally promised updates on his recovery process.
