The MAXXI Museum in Rome has unveiled "Italia di Moda", a photography exhibition focusing on Italian fashion. The project is the culmination of a year-long journey through Italy, transforming fashion into a narrative language and a tool for dialogue with the region, landscapes, art, and culture. It was created by photographer Andrea Varani and interpreted exclusively by top model Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti, of Russian and Ukrainian descent. The exhibition celebrates Made in Italy from the Dolomites to Sicily, narrating an artistic voyage through Italy's twenty regions, blending haute couture with the beauty of the landscapes and villages. The garments on exhibit are far from ordinary: they are designed by some of Italy's most prominent fashion labels, like Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, and Etro, and they are more than just aesthetic features; they are an essential part of the environment. Fashion integrates with the identity of locations, establishing a unique visual equilibrium between the body, space, and culture. Photographer Varani stated, "I was not interested in controlling everything; rather, I sought to achieve a balance between the location, the person, and the dress." "It is a work that emphasizes harmony over image". Following Rome, the exhibition will proceed to Florence's Villa Vittoria in the "Limonaia" setting, then to Vicenza, with international stops planned in Madrid and Dubai.
