Every spring, Lake Como transforms into an open-air catwalk for some of the most fascinating automobiles ever created. The BMW Group staged the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, which took place between the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este and the neighboring Villa Erba from May 15 to 17. The program was much more extensive than past editions, with exceedingly rare classic automobiles, futuristic concepts, and million-dollar auctions, all judged by an international jury. Broad Arrow arranged the auctions, which brought over 70 classic automobiles to the lake, including Bugattis from the 1920s, a Ferrari F40, and a BMW M3 GTS—three indisputable icons of automotive history, each representing a distinct era. The Concours classes provided a chronological journey through a variety of models from each era, including the sports cars of the 1930s, the luxurious automobiles of the 1920s and 1930s, the unmistakable elegance of the 1950s, and contemporary supercars. Particularly noteworthy was the category dedicated to Ferrari endurance racing legends.
