The aperitivo remains an essential part of Italian social life, but it now represents much more than a simple break between work and dinner. According to data from NielsenIQ, a global leader in consumer intelligence, the aperitivo ritual is also becoming a recurring event for millions of Italians: 38% of the population, or one in every three Italians, has enjoyed at least one aperitivo in the last three months, a figure that is increasing compared to 2024 (+2.6%), while 45%, or one in every two, say they enjoy one at least once per month. Not only a time of relaxation, but one that reflects on changing consumer patterns, quality, conviviality, and modern lives.
