The center-right leads in Venice, while De Luca wins in Salerno. These are the two main outcomes of the local elections, which covered over 650 municipalities around the country. The total turnout was 60.1%, down nearly 5 percentage points from the previous round, which was 64.91%. In Venice, Simone Venturini, the center-right candidate, won with 51% of the vote, while Andrea Martella, the center-left candidate, received 39.2%. In Salerno, Vincenzo De Luca ran for mayor for the fifth time; the former Campania governor received approximately 60% of the vote. Franco Massimo Lanocita, who is supported by the Five Star Movement and the AVS, received 14.1% of the vote, with his center-right opponent, Gherardo Maria Marenghi, also receiving 15%. In Reggio Calabria, center-right candidate Francesco Cannizzaro wins by over 60%, with center-left contender Domenico Battaglia receiving less than 30%. Federico Basile, the center-right candidate in Messina, receives more than 50% of the vote, followed by Marcello Scurria, who receives less than 30%. In Arezzo, center-right candidate Marcello Comanducci has 43,8% of the vote, while center-left contender Vincenzo Ceccarelli has 32,4%. Matteo Biffoni, the center-left candidate in Prato, received 54,7% of the vote, followed by Gianluca Banchelli, who received 29%.
