Now in its twenty-first year, the Trento Festival of Economics, an internationally recognized event, concluded with an exceptionally favorable result. From May 20th to May 24th, the city was the epicenter of global economic, political, and social debate, hosting over 830 speakers and over 350 events across 18 venues and four city squares. This edition drew an incredible crowd (45,000 people), reaffirming the festival's sustained success. Panels on geopolitics, artificial intelligence, energy, youth, and labor drew a large audience, including 147 academics, 35 economists, 126 representatives of national and international institutions, 129 representatives of the economic and financial business community, 20 ministers, and five Nobel Prize winners. A festival aimed at young people from the start, putting them in the spotlight by giving them space and a voice directly on stage through the "Call for Ideas: Voices of Tomorrow" initiative: 14 young people aged 18 to 30 were chosen by the Festival's Scientific Committee from hundreds of applications to be Festival speakers. Furthermore, nearly 2,000 high school students from the Province of Trento and beyond attended the Festival's events. Visibility was also remarkable, with over 3.2 million total views of organic content (+52% compared to 2025) and over 2.1 million new users. This success was made possible by a thorough editorial plan that included 625 pieces of material released across four official channels—Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X—to make significant economic themes accessible and relevant to non-specialist audiences. This capacity for dialogue was further fortified by a strategic influencer marketing initiative, which resulted in the creation of over 70 pieces of content by creators who independently generated over 2.27 million views and reached 1.26 million unique users. On the press front, 160 press releases were generated during the Festival, and approximately 7,000 photographs were selected for the official communication of the event.
