From 27 to 31 May, the Arsenale of the Serenissima once again becomes the heart of international boating with the seventh edition of the Venice Boat Show, promoted by the Municipality and organised by Vela spa in collaboration with the Italian Navy. Around 300 vessels and 270 exhibitors from Italy, Europe, and the Eastern Mediterranean will fill the Arsenale's 55,000-square-meter waterfront and kilometer of docks. The main dock, "Riviera", features huge yachts and the latest in worldwide shipbuilding: the Ferretti Group is displaying seven boats, including the world premieres of the Ferretti 670 and Pershing 6X. Beneteau chose Venice for the world premiere of the Gran Turismo 50, while Biondi Yacht debuts the Calita catamaran, marking the shipyard's first appearance at the show. The 2026 edition's core subject is sustainability, with shipyards, universities, and research institutes presenting electric, hybrid, and hydrogen propulsion technologies that emphasize energy efficiency and novel materials. Along with technology, the Show will emphasize the Venetian history of master shipwrights and wooden shipbuilding, in an ongoing interaction between past and future.
