Marco Bezzecchi wins the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello, increasing his lead in the MotoGP World Championship. The Aprilia rider won his fourth race of the season, edging teammate Jorge Martin and sealing a record one-two for the Noale-based company at the Tuscan track. After leading the race in the early stages, Francesco Bagnaia was compelled to yield to the factory Aprilias, finishing in third place. Bezzecchi now leads Martin by 16 points in the overall standings, having climbed to 173 points with the win. Marc Márquez, who returned from injury but is now out of contention for the 2026 world title, ended farther back.
