Giovanna Vitelli, president of Azimut|Benetti, a global leader in megayacht construction, has succeeded Matteo Lunelli as President of the Altagamma Foundation for the three-year term 2026-2028. Altagamma brings together 124 Italian firms that excel in fashion, design, jewelry, food, hospitality, automobiles, and sailing. In Italy, the sector generates €115 billion in revenue, or 7.4% of GDP. This is an important sign: electing a representative from the marine industry to Altagamma's chair recognizes the sea as one of Made in Italy's most advanced areas. And it's no surprise that on the same day as Giovanna Vitelli's inauguration, her company, Azimut|Benetti, was named the world's premier megayacht builder for the 26th consecutive year in the Global Order Book 2026.
