The event celebrating the Army Medical Corps' 193rd anniversary was held yesterday morning on the square in front of Rome's Celio Military Hospital. Lieutenant General Carlo Catalano, Inspector General of the Military Medical Corps and Chief of the Army Medical Corps, congratulated all personnel on this momentous occasion. He emphasized the Corps' core values, including integrity, fairness, humanity, and respect for the person. These are the principles and pillars of the professional training of the men and women who wear lab coats over their uniforms and are called upon to address complex situations on behalf of their military colleagues both domestically and abroad, in an era of profound change linked to an uncertain and destabilized geopolitical landscape. Additionally, Catalano underscored the significance of collaboration between military and civilian healthcare, as it enables the national healthcare system to be fortified, particularly during catastrophic events or emergencies, by the unwavering commitment, dedication, and willingness of military healthcare workers to prioritize the well-being of others. The Inspector General concluded by urging young people to put themselves forward, pursue their ideas, and realize their dreams. He also encouraged older generations to support and reward them in their training, with a shared vision of facing and overcoming the future challenges that await the Army's Military Healthcare Service.
