Turin had a large turnout for Roberto Bolle's event "Ballo in Bianco", which transformed Piazza San Carlo into a massive open-air dance club. Approximately two thousand young dancers, both male and female, from schools across Italy, clothed entirely in white, participated in the group lesson conducted by the star and accompanied by La Scala's prima ballerina Nicoletta Manni. The program drew a record number of participants, therefore many requests could not be met due to organizational constraints. "Ballo in Bianco" was established with the objective of expanding the reach of dance beyond the theater. It promotes connections between students, teachers, and the public, thereby enriching the culture of art and movement. Roberto Bolle emphasized the significance of introducing this art form to as many individuals as possible, stating, "We celebrate dance and the values that accompany it: commitment, discipline, sacrifice, and passion".
