Andrea Bocelli will open the FIFA Countdown Concert, a major international live event marking the official build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Scheduled for June 10, the concert will connect Mexico City, Toronto and Los Angeles in a simultaneous celebration of music and football, broadcast globally. Bocelli will perform “Nelle tue mani,” from the soundtrack of The Gladiator, at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional.
The event will feature artists from all three host countries, along with international performers, in a multi-city production designed to highlight the unifying power of sport and music.
Bocelli’s participation reinforces his role as one of Italy’s most prominent cultural ambassadors on the global stage. In recent months, he has appeared at several major international events, including the FIFA 2026 World Cup draw and the opening ceremony of the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
The tenor is also preparing for a busy year ahead, including performances in Venice, Lajatico, and an international tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of his landmark album Romanza.
