A new chapter for Moschino. The fashion label founded in 1983 by Franco Moschino has named Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo as its new creative directors. The decision follows Adrian Appiolaza's resignation and signals the start of a new era for one of the most well-known brands in the Italian fashion industry. Messina and Rizzo are well-known around the world for developing and directing Sunnei, a business that has recently gained popularity for its modern take on Italian design. Their official debut at Moschino will take place at the forthcoming Milan Women's Fashion Week in September. The two designers commented on the appointment, emphasizing Franco Moschino's continued importance in the business. According to the current creative directors, the house's strength is its capacity to question conventions through a recognizable creative language and a cultural vision that use pop not only as an aesthetic, but also as a tool for critical thinking. Moschino is now starting a regeneration phase that aspires to mix historical tradition and creative innovation, in keeping with the brand's nonconformist vision that has propelled it to the forefront of global fashion.
