The final day of the ANA Triveneto 3rd Grouping Gathering was met with great excitement in Gemona del Friuli, culminating in the Alpini parade through the town center's streets. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni unexpectedly attended the ceremony, as revealed by Palazzo Chigi and Minister for Relations with Parliament Luca Ciriani. "I thought it was necessary", the prime minister said. "I needed some good national pride, and if it isn't here, I'm not sure where else. It was also an occasion to honor the Alpini warriors for their outstanding performance at the Olympics and beyond". The gathering's climax began early in the morning when the traditional Alpini train from Treviso arrived in Gemona. The participants marched in front of thousands of people and various regional political officials, recalling the Alpine troops' critical role in Friuli's regeneration after the devastating earthquake 50 years ago. Barbara Zilli, Regional Finance Councillor, stressed the Alpini's historic and enduring link with the Friuli region, which began during the emergency and restoration periods of 1976. The day culminated with the annual handing of the "Stecca" to the ANA branch in Treviso, which will host the next rally, as well as the flag-lowering ceremony.
