Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has provided an update on the status of Italian citizens in Venezuela following the severe emergency currently gripping the South American nation. Thanks to the swift response of the Crisis Unit and the Viaggiare Sicuri tracking system, all registered Italian nationals have been successfully contacted, with no casualties reported so far. However, the situation on the ground remains critical. Given the vast number of potential victims, details are still being verified, but Venezuelan authorities have promised real-time updates to the Italian embassy. With Caracas airport currently shut down, travel remains blocked and property damage is extensive. "Our embassy," Tajani explained, "is already taking in several families who are locked out because their homes were destroyed." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is monitoring the crisis minute by minute and keeping the Prime Minister's office fully briefed.
