Paolo Sorrentino was the undisputed star of the 80th edition of the Nastri d’Argento Awards. His film "La Grazia" swept the ceremony, taking eight prizes out of nine nominations, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. Anna Ferzetti, winner of Best Actress, and Toni Servillo, joint winner of Best Actor, were also honored. The film also won awards for Best Cinematography, Best Sound and Best Supporting Performance for Milvia Marigliano. Checco Zalone was the evening's co-star. He was awarded the prestigious Nastro dell'Anno for his return to film with "Buen Camino", directed by Gennaro Nunziante, an award that is presented to a film that has left a unique mark on the national cinematic landscape. The ceremony, held in Rome's Teatro Argentina, celebrated the eightieth anniversary of the prestigious prize given by the National Union of Italian Film Journalists.
