Enrica Massone, a 59-year-old from Turin, has never attended university; her education finished with a middle school diploma. The fake doctor was sentenced to three years in prison and fined €15,000 for fraud, unauthorized practice of medicine, and fraudulent claims. The court also ordered her to pay nearly €30,000 in compensation to the civil parties, including ASL 1 Imperia and the Milan Medical Association. The case is from 2023, when the woman deceived a medical "payroll" company by acting as an internal medicine specialist on Indeed and boasting false medical directors. She created flawless recommendations using falsified emails, obtaining the medical association registration number of a legitimate doctor. However, this isn't her first infraction. Massone is already serving a final term of four years and three months in jail. Previously, she took an elderly couple's pension after being designated as a court support administrator. She is a serial scammer. Over the years, she repeatedly reinvented herself—claiming at various times to be the director of youth centres, the daughter of judges or the wife of officers from Italy’s DIGOS police unit—in order to gain trust and obtain money.
