Jannik Sinner continues to look sharp on the grass courts of Wimbledon, but a shadow of doubt remains over his long-term physical durability. Following his recent victory over Borges, the Italian tennis star reopened the conversation about the physical struggles that plagued him during his Roland Garros match against Cerundolo. "We’ve figured out what happened in Paris, but there is no quick fix," Sinner admitted, offering his supporters only partial reassurance. "We are doing everything we can to prevent it from happening again, but if it does, it will mean the path we’ve taken isn’t the right one." The world-class Italian did, however, ease immediate fears regarding his current form. Explaining away a minor stiffness he felt upon waking up as merely the aftermath of a fall the previous day, he concluded: "Once I got on the court today, I felt good, so I can rest easy."
