The Thales-Leonardo Consortium has signed a contract with NATO to supply and train six deployable headquarters systems for SOFCOM. These next-generation communications and information systems (CIS), known as DPOP SOCC, are designed to meet the logistical and tactical requirements of the Alliance's Special Forces, serving as the foundation for a secure and robust information ecosystem built on classified networks. The system provides cutting-edge, dedicated capabilities, beginning with high-performance "zero-day" IT infrastructures that have a reduced physical and electromagnetic footprint. It also offers a safe multi-domain environment for exchanging sensitive data, assuring optimum security and interoperability. For the first time in a NATO deployable environment, Full Motion Video (FMV) capabilities have been integrated to improve situational awareness in the field. In addition to Franco-Italian synergy, the initiative will strengthen the Alliance's industrial basis by incorporating technology from the United Kingdom and Germany, with the NCIA leading assistance and training. Alexandre Bottero (Thales) noted that this collaboration combines the finest of European industry into a flexible and proven solution. Antonio Levato (Leonardo) emphasized the importance of Italy's experience with expanding shelter systems, which resulted from close engagement with the end user.
