Poste Italiane has received 240,000 requests for passport issuance and renewal, consolidating the services provided by post offices and making them a true point of reference for citizens. Since April, it has been extended to all branches participating in the Polis initiative, and it has received over 184,000 requests in municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants alone, with 80% of residents choosing Poste Italiane's home delivery service. Approximately 56,000 requests have already been filed to the 431 offices located in key cities including Rome, Milan, Bologna, and Naples. The high numbers recorded by this initiative are primarily driven by the Northeast, which accounts for nearly one in three passport requests. The province of Verona is leading the way with approximately 24,000 requests. Meanwhile, the Polis Project development plan is moving forward: modernization projects have been completed at over 5,600 post offices in small communities, accounting for more than 80% of the total.
