The fourth edition of the report "Collectors and the Value of Art in Italy 2026", edited by Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking, has been published. It contains noteworthy data: the market has resumed growth (4% in 2025 compared to 2024), and Italians' spending capacity remains medium-high, with 30% of collectors exceeding the €500,000 threshold for a piece at least once, and 55% of collections valued between €100,000 and €1 million. Interestingly, the pattern reverses: Old Masters have witnessed a 68.7% growth in values by 2024, shockingly led by millennial buyers, but NFTs (digital certificates of authenticity and ownership, unique and non-replicable, registered on a blockchain network) have lost 90% in the last five years.
