The National Chamber of Italian Fashion's Ordinary Members' Meeting chose the new Board of Directors for the two-year term 2026-2028, with Carlo Capasa overwhelmingly confirmed as President and Managing Director. This is his sixth consecutive term as president of the association, which he has led since 2015, when he succeeded longtime president Mario Boselli, who is now an honorary president. Capasa, a Lecce-born entrepreneur born in 1958, knows fashion from both sides of the counter: before ascending the institutional ladder, he built his career as CEO of Costume National, the brand he founded in 1986 with his brother, designer Ennio, who trained in Tokyo under Yohji Yamamoto. At the helm of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, he has rejuvenated Milan Fashion Week on a global scale while also pushing the organization forward on themes such as sustainability, inclusivity, and support for emerging designers. The new Board of Directors includes some of the biggest names in Italian luxury—including Francesca Bellettini (Gucci), Lorenzo Bertelli (Prada Group), Alfonso Dolce, Leonardo Ferragamo, Renzo Rosso (OTB), Remo Ruffini (Moncler), and Ermenegildo Zegna—with Bertelli Jr. joining in place of his father Patrizio and the new CEO of Armani, Giuseppe Marsocci, while Angela Missoni and Massimo Ferretti have stepped down by choice.
