Azimut unveiled the first Grande 44M, the brand's new flagship, in Viareggio: a 44-meter vessel with over 50% carbon fiber structure, lowering weight by nearly eight tons in the hull's uppermost portions. This is the largest yacht ever built by the Piedmontese shipyard, and its commercial debut speaks for itself: seven units have already been sold to end users prior to the vessel's formal launch. The lightweight nature of carbon fiber has allowed for a unique four-deck architecture: the fourth deck houses the wheelhouse, which is integrated into the sleek profile designed by Alberto Mancini, freeing up the Upper Deck of technical spaces and transforming it into an entirely private deck dedicated to the owner, with terraces overlooking the horizon. The Grande 44M, the flagship of the Low Emission fleet, reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 30% compared to traditional naval architecture of the same size. "The pride and joy I feel for this yacht are written all over my face", remarked Giovanna Vitelli, president of the Azimut|Benetti Group, during the ceremony. The launch represents the penultimate stage of outfitting before the world debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival. This milestone solidifies a successful strategy: models longer than 24 meters now account for more than two-thirds of Azimut's production value.
