A 15-year-old boy died after suffering a fatal electric shock at an amusement park in the coastal town of Spotorno, in Italy's Liguria region, on Thursday evening. The teenager, who was from Saronno in northern Italy's Lombardy region, was reportedly electrocuted after kicking a punch-strength machine, commonly known as a "boxing machine". Emergency responders treated him at the scene before transporting him in critical condition to San Paolo Hospital in Savona, where he died shortly after being admitted. Authorities have seized the amusement park as part of the investigation, and the local government has ordered its immediate closure while officials determine the exact cause of the accident. Spotorno Mayor Mattia Fiorini said he was deeply shocked by the tragedy and ordered all rides and attractions to be suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
