Turin has retained its position as one of the world's leading university cities, ranking 66th globally in the latest QS Best Student Cities rankings. Published by British higher education analyst Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the fourteenth edition of the annual survey confirms the city's standing while recognising further improvements in key areas. The rankings assess cities with more than 250,000 inhabitants that are home to at least two universities featured in the QS World University Rankings. Six indicators are taken into account: the quality of universities, the size and international diversity of the student population, the city's attractiveness, graduate employment opportunities, affordability and the overall student experience. Turin remains Italy's top-performing city for both affordability and student satisfaction, while also improving its performance in the categories measuring the international diversity of its student community and employment prospects for graduates. This year's results show notable progress in the Student Mix indicator, which evaluates the size and international character of the student population, and Employer Activity, which measures the career opportunities available to graduates. The city also retains its leading position in Italy for Affordability, reflecting the financial accessibility of university life, and Student Voice, based on feedback from current and former students about the quality of their overall experience.
