The UNESCO World Heritage Committee has formally included "The System of 18th- and 19th-Century Italian-Style Condominium Theatres in Central Italy" to the World Heritage List. These buildings, which are largely found in towns and small historic centers, represent an exceptional architectural and social innovation: they signified the transformation of the theater from an entertainment venue reserved for the nobility to a legitimate cultural institution serving the entire community. Alessandro Giuli, Minister of Culture, expressed tremendous joy, calling the announcement "a source of enormous pride", highlighting how this acknowledgment honors the universal worth and depth of Italy's cultural legacy.
