Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessia Elefante got married on Friday, July 24, at the Mother Church of San Giorgio Martire in Locorotondo, Puglia's Itria Valley. To celebrate the wedding of the Italian national team goalkeeper and Manchester City captain and his partner, the small village was packed with watchers and admirers who waited behind the barricades for hours. Among the most enthusiastic attendees were Dutch star Erling Haaland, Donnarumma's Manchester City teammate, and former Italian national team coach Roberto Mancini, who were met with stadium chants and signature demands. Paolo Maldini, Nicolò Barella, and Giovanni Malagò, head of the Italian Football Federation, were all in attendance. Following the religious service, guests proceeded to Pettolecchia La Fortezza, an antique fortified farmhouse nestled between Fasano and Savelletri, surrounded by hectares of centuries-old olive trees. The historic structure, an ancient fortification extending back to the 15th century, has been meticulously restored and transformed into a privileged venue for private events and receptions. Nestled in the Apulian countryside, it overlooks a vast expanse of monumental olive trees that slope down from the hillside toward the Savelletri coast, creating a fairytale setting.
