After 115 years of history, Brescia Calcio no longer exists: the court has officially declared the club bankrupt. On President Massimo Cellino's 70th birthday, the judges ordered the judicial liquidation of the former soccer club, bringing to an end the story of a team that had spent more than a century competing between Serie A and Serie B. The judgment follows the club's suspension from professional soccer for failing to meet financial deadlines. The lengthy legal fight to save the club was ultimately fruitless. Brescia has produced many excellent players throughout the years, including Roberto Baggio, Andrea Pirlo, and Pep Guardiola.
