Ferrari has met its 2026 sales target for the Luce, the brand's first electric vehicle, in just two months. According to the Financial Times, the Maranello-based manufacturer had intended to supply just under 500 units this year and had met that goal by July, owing primarily to strong demand from China. The model, developed by former Apple designer Jony Ive and priced at €550,000, sparked widespread criticism over its design, prompting Ferrari stock to tumble more than 8% after its debut. CEO Benedetto Vigna wants to sell approximately 2,500 Luces by 2030, keeping volumes low to maintain strong margins. Ferrari has not responded to the rumors mentioned in the British daily. According to Financial Times sources, the model has also received a positive response from US technology entrepreneurs and from new customers in China.
