Como looks forward to the future and a worldwide audience while remaining true to its traditions. The final confirmation comes on the eve of the team's historic Champions League debut versus Leipzig, a must-see event for the Como club. For the occasion, president Mirwan Suwarso and numerous executives have decided to make a very sensitive gesture by giving up their seats in the Authority Stand to senior fans born in 1950 or earlier. "The stadium is sold out, and the reduced capacity means we can't accommodate everyone", Suwarso wrote on Instagram. "We want these tickets to go to those who have waited the longest and have followed Como through every category and era". This powerful message aligns with the club's attitude of rewarding loyalty and continuously filling the stands, as evidenced by the recent rigorous season ticket rules. The event will take place in a reconstructed Sinigaglia stadium, which underwent substantial summer renovations including an enlarged pitch, a new Curva Ovest, improved lighting, and upgraded facilities in order to get UEFA approval. Due to European restrictions on some facilities in the Distinti section, capacity will temporarily be reduced to around 11,000 spectators.
