The Position Paper "Valore Sistema Editoria" (Value of the Publishing System) was presented in Cernobbio as part of the 52nd Ambrosetti Forum on the Economy, organized by Teha Group in collaboration with QN Media and included Professor Alec Ross' scientific contribution. The study suggests that publishing should be viewed as a strategic infrastructure that requires rethinking, rather than a struggling sector that requires support. The data indicates that daily newspaper publishing generates €2.2 billion in revenue and €805 million in added value, with productivity 26.3% higher than the Italian average. Lorenzo Tavazzi of Teha Group believes that as content creation costs fall, the value of information is shifting from quantity to quality: verification, accountability, and context are becoming scarce commodities. QN Media CEO Gabriele Benedetto added that an algorithm cannot be allowed to decide what information is published. The final report will be presented in Rome on 3 December.
