The introduction of Jeeves, a humanoid robot who accompanies host Barbara Palombelli, on the television program "Forum" represented a watershed moment in Italian television. The debut attracted political attention, culminating in a message from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. During the September 9, 2026 episode, the Prime Minister addressed how the initiative handles one of today's most disruptive challenges: artificial intelligence. Meloni praised Italy for being one of the first European countries to pass a comprehensive law on the subject, highlighting the risks linked with its influence on rights, democracy, and the labor market, where AI threatens to replace human cognition. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of human-centered innovation that prioritizes the individual, their dignity, and their rights.
