On September 10, the Italian Trade Agency in New York hosted the seminar "New Horizons for the Inclusion and Well-being of People with Autism," marking the culmination of a year-long collaboration between the Italian Ministry for Disabilities and The Center for Discovery (TCFD). Promoted by Minister Alessandra Locatelli, the initiative tackled key themes through panels on nutrition, complex behavior management, and job inclusion. Notable contributions included Katia Mignogna of Udine’s Arte e Libro cooperative, which boasts a 42-year track record of integrating disabled workers, and Naples' Il Tulipano, which transforms cultural heritage sites into tourism-based job opportunities for autistic youth. Featuring experts like TCFD CEO Theresa Hamlin and Consul General Giuseppe Pastorelli, the event highlighted ongoing cooperation between Italy and the United States in advancing best practices.
