The timeline for modernizing Italian stadiums ahead of UEFA Euro 2032 - which Italy is co-hosting with Turkey - may soon be extended. Speaking on the radio program La Politica nel Pallone, FIGC President Giovanni Malagò indicated that a deadline postponement is entirely possible. While Italy must guarantee top-tier facilities, many venues still require significant restructuring. Malagò noted that ongoing dialogues with UEFA are positive and that the country has already passed its initial evaluation phase. The potential shift in the deadline is not due to project stagnation, but rather to allow adequate time for subsequent technical checks. Meanwhile, Malagò addressed his own institutional standing following a CONI Sports General Prosecutor decision requesting further reviews regarding his FIGC membership, stating he remains completely unconcerned about his tenure.
