Dario Vitale is the new Creative Director for Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani Accessories. He is the first individual outside the Armani family to fill this position. "I am honored to assume this dual role between Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani, and I am deeply grateful to Silvana and Leo for welcoming me into their world", Vitale said, referring to Silvana Armani, Head of Women's Style for the Armani Group, and Leo Dell'Orco, Head of Men's Style for the Armani Group. Dario Vitale, born in 1983, grew up in Southern Italy before relocating to Milan, where he currently lives and works. His training began at the Istituto Marangoni, and he subsequently collaborated with some of the most esteemed Italian luxury brands, such as Bottega Veneta, under the guidance of Tomas Maier. He joined Miu Miu in 2010 and worked closely with Miuccia Prada before taking on the roles of Design Director of Ready-to-Wear and Brand Image Director until 2025. In April 2025, he was named Versace's Chief Creative Officer, making him the first designer outside the Versace family to manage the house's creative direction. "I approach this new challenge with a profound sense of responsibility and enthusiasm, with the aim of building on these solid foundations and defining a new era together", the designer concluded.
