On Sunday, November 8, Rome will welcome the latest edition of the Rome 15K, a road race over an ideal distance that serves as preparation for the season’s major events. The Forhans Team, led by Gianluca Calfapietra, hopes to break a record by attracting over 5,000 competitors in both the 15K competitive race and the 5K non-competitive race, which counts as the regional championship. The route will provide a captivating journey through the wonders of the Eternal City: starting at Viale delle Terme di Caracalla. Runners will pass by Piazza Venezia, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Via dei Fori Imperiali, and the Colosseum. For 2026, new features include Icron timing with split times and live tracking every 5 km and 3D route tracking. Thanks to the charity project with the Fondazione Carol ETS and the Joëlettes of the SOD Italia Running Team, the event affirms its strong inclusive focus. The "Sporterxpò" at the Terme di Caracalla Stadium will serve as the event's focal point from November 6 to 8. This location will provide a hub for bib collection and a variety of associated activities, including Nordic walking, youth cycling, yoga, and gymnastics. Additionally, Villa Borghese will host complimentary training sessions with Gruppo Purosangue in anticipation of the race.
