The Italian region of Tuscany has officially launched the fourth edition of its tech accelerator initiative, "Toscana Tech on the Road," bringing 10 selected startups and innovative small businesses to San Francisco. Running through early October at INNOVIT - the Italian Innovation and Culture Hub in the heart of Silicon Valley - the trade mission is designed to connect Italian entrepreneurs directly with American venture capital, corporate partners, and tech accelerators. Led by regional Minister for Economy Leonardo Marras and Regional Council Vice President Antonio Mazzeo, the delegation represents cutting-edge sectors including artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, biotech, and agritech. During the visit, regional officials also renewed a bilateral cooperation agreement at the Italian Consulate General in San Francisco, locking in support programs for Tuscan startups expanding into the U.S. market through 2028. By establishing a permanent presence through "Casa Toscana" inside Silicon Valley's main innovation hub, regional leaders aim to provide local tech ventures with direct access to global capital markets, international research networks, and scale-up opportunities in the world's premier technology market.
