The Alpine city of Trento is officially buzzing as it opens the doors to the ninth edition of the Festival of Sport, transforming the regional capital into the heartbeat of the athletic world for four days. Centered around the evocative theme "Invincibles" (Invincibili), the high-profile gathering features more than 150 events and welcomes over 300 of global sports' greatest icons and legends.

Running through October 4 in partnership with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the festival represents a monumental milestone for the local community. Maurizio Fugatti, President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, emphasized the event's strategic importance: "We are thrilled to host the Festival of Sport, an anchor event for Trento, Trentino, and the broader national sporting landscape. The recent success of the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games showcased our territory's organizational prowess, but we aren't stopping here. In just over a year, we will host the Winter Youth Olympics, and tonight we are officially launching our bid for the 2031 UCI Cycling World Championships."
