The new framework agreement negotiated by the Ministry of the Interior, Poste Italiane, and the Italian Banking Association (ABI) aims to prevent and address increasingly complex criminal threats to physical and digital infrastructures. The agreement intends to strengthen public-private partnership by combining preventive, operational resilience, and cyberattack protection. For the first time, the agreement establishes a shared national framework among Poste Italiane, ABI, the Ministry of the Interior, and Prefectures. This framework guaranties uniformity of action and increased effectiveness in prevention and counteraction activities by fostering closer collaboration with law enforcement agencies and Prefectures. The establishment of the Safe Territories Observatory at each Prefecture is a key component of the new strategy, resulting in an advanced model of public-private collaboration based on three pillars: information integration, joint preventive action, and unified investigative analysis of criminal phenomena.
