Italy is second in Circular Economy development after the Netherlands and ahead of Germany, France, and Spain, with more than double the EU average of recycled waste. The country leads Europe in resource efficiency, producing €4.7 in GDP for every kilogram of resources used. Waste management is the most common Circular Economy activity among Made in Italy enterprises, with 85% of corporations and 75% of SMEs using it. This was revealed by the UN Global Compact Network Italy (UNGCNI), which represents the United Nations Global Compact in Italy, at the 11th annual Italian Business & SDGs Forum.
