(13 September 2017) "From the press to the Internet: metamorphoses of Italian linguistic and literary research" is the title of the International Conference of Italianists, promoted this year by the University of Craiova (Faculty of Humanities, Department of Romance and Classical Languages, Italian Language and Literature Section) and the University of Perugia (Department of Human and Social Sciences) on September 15th and 16th at the Romanian University. The initiative is sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Romania, the Italian Institute of Culture of Bucharest and of the Dante Alighieri Society. At its ninth edition, the focus of the conference is linguistic and literary research. (Red)

ANNIVERSARY

In addition to the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the University of Craiova, the Conference falls within the 25th anniversary of the founding of the local Dante Society on 28 November 1992, based on the initiative of Professors Ion Pătraşcu and Elena Pîrvu, current president and promoter of the Conference, with the collaboration of the Director of the Efasce Pordenone for Romania, Piergiorgio Zannese, during an assembly attended by Italian descendants and cultistivists of Italian language and culture.
