SACE, which along with SIMEST forms the export and internationalisation hub of the CDP Group, and Deutsche Bank have finalised a €5 million financing transaction in favour of Pastificio Di Martino - a historic company in Campania operating in the production and marketing of pasta. The loan, provided by Deutsche Bank and guaranteed by SACE, is intended to support the acquisition costs of the controlling interest of Grandi Pastai Italiani, which will allow Di Martino to increase production and its export turnover by expanding its marketing of products to new market segments. Campania confirms itself as the first exporting region of southern Italy. In the first nine months of 2017, regional exports recorded an increase of 2.1%. The agri-food sector - excellence of Campania exports - accounts for over 30% of total sales abroad and in the first 9 months of 2017, exports of agricultural products increased by 8.8%, mainly to France, Poland, Sweden and the United States.
