The Working Group, chaired by former European Commission President, Romano Prodi and former French Minister, Christian Sautter, presented in Brussels the "New Deal for Social Infrastructure" investment plan in the presence of Vice-President Katainen. "In a crowded hall of professionals and journalists, a new horizon opened for the revival of social policy that is always lacking in Europe and that in the years of economic crisis underwent strong contractions"according to a statement released by Prodi's Press Office. "The plan focuses on three specific areas: schools, health, and social housing. The effort was strongly underlined by the speakers and by Vice President Katainen".
