During a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Royal Bahrain naval force of Mina Salman, Leonardo has delivered the first of six Al Manama class ships, currently being fitted with advanced high-tech systems. The modernisation was completed early for delivery under the agreement signed in 2015 that also includes a new weapon control system, and training and logistics services. "This is just the latest in a string of successes for Leonardo in Bahrain, where the company also provided air traffic control radar systems to improve the safety and efficiency of the national airspace management" according to a statement.
