On Match 23rd and 24th, 37 Italian academic institutions will be present in Tirana, including Universities, Fine Art Academies, and Conservatories for the first time. The event organised by the Italian Institute of Culture, with the support of the Italian Embassy in Tirana, aims to promote and support the Italian academic system in Albania. Many young Albanian students choose Italy to either begin or continue their studies due to its geographical proximity, and historical, economic, linguistic, and cultural ties. The Italian Embassy will also be represented at the Fair, providing useful information on the procedures for registration and assistance on traveling to Italy for study. Various associations involved in the orientation of Albanian students in Italy (Ipsia-Acli, Inas Cisl, Inac) will also take part in the Fair. Albania has three Bilingual high schools that issue a higher qualification recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education and Italian is taught as a first or second foreign language in about 300 schools thanks to the ILLIRIA project supported by MAECI.
